Publishing Releasing
NEW Games for Classic Systems!
This
project has been in the works since 2002, with contracts signed and payment sent
and received in 2003. When we originally licensed the games from Elite, we were
told that the encryption was set so that the games would operate on any 3DO unit.
Unfortunately, when the discs arrived from Europe, that was not the case, and
they would only operate on development units. Unfortunately, we were not able
to break the encryption. At that time we loaned copies of the game to
a partner company. They were to try and break the encryption for us. They were
also not successful. During the following CES, Good Deal Games was unable to make
the show due to a serious illness in the family, so we gave our booth to our partner
and sent inventory to be sold at the show.
Following the show, we failed
to receive our full inventory or payment, so all ties were broken, and we were
no longer partners.
Last year, with help, they finally broke the encryption.
They released a small batch of the titles that violated our licensing agreement
with Elite. As a result, the games are now being released with a higher quality
production and released at a lower price point by Good Deal Games.
Please
note that everyone involved with Good Deal Games contributes on a volunteer basis.
No one in the organization has ever been paid, and we do what we do for the love
of the hobby. All income goes directly to operate the website, and release other
classic gaming projects in which we believe.

Good Deal Games paid for the 3DO licenses from Elite Systems, Ltd. on January
1st and 2nd of 2003. |
We
thank you for your continued support.
